On Friday, December 13th, we hosted the first Orange ball tournament of the season. For many of the competitors, this event was the first taste of competitive tennis. All of our orange ball players in the YTC Junior program were invited to attend and test their skills against one another. In between serves and volleys, players were invited to enjoy some pizza when they weren't on court for a match.
We had 21 athletes competing in this two hour event. Coach Luis was the tournament director and ran the event with a round robin format with the winner being the player with the most points won at the end of all of the timed matches.
In the end, Rohan took home first place, Charlie came in second and Kyle was a close third. Great job everyone! We'll see you next time!
