Yonkers, NY - Yonkers Tennis Center is proud and excited to announce that Santos De Aza will rejoin the teaching staff come September 2020. Santos has recently relocated back to New York after spending more than 6 years in the greater Miami area. De Aza is teaching currently at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, NY.
Santos was previously at Yonkers Tennis from 2008-2012 and was one of the most sought after tennis professionals on staff. His infectious smile and personality complimented an extensive knowledge of the game. “We’re very excited to have Santos back! When he walked into the club, a few years ago, he got swarmed by the staff like a rock star. He’s got that kind of persona” said Joseph Curto, YTC President.
Adding De Aza back helps to elevate the already experienced coaching staff. “When Coach Santos called and expressed an interest in coming back to the Westchester area, it was a no brainer to have his energy back in our building. He has a great demeanor about him, ever positive about client improvement in tennis,” said Tendai Kuwaza, Director of Tennis. “What is most important to me is he works hard at cultivating relationships with both, his players and his teammates,” added Kuwaza.
De Aza is excited to be returning to the New York metro area. “When I was part of the team 7 years ago, I loved the amazing clientele with the people who I worked with, the sense of community at the facility, I needless to say I felt at home, like I was with family,” said Santos De Aza. “I’m really excited to be back,” added De Aza.
