Congratulations to the William Boyce Thompson School on being the recipient of the Wellness Champions award given by New York State. In attendance were community partners, along with members from the Yonkers Board of Education to celebrate Boyce Thompson on being an elementary school that creates a healthy environment, and has school policies and practices that promote children’s health and academic achievement.
Coach Alexa spoke about the Coach Pat Project and its mission to provide students with a sport that they can have forever to play with family and friends. She also gave a short demonstration to the group.
Thank you to USTA Eastern, our Coach Pat Project Partner, for their support with bringing tennis to the Yonkers Public Schools. It is great to be a part of a community effort to positively impact the lives of the young people in our area.
