Coach Pat Project
A Yonkers Tennis Center Community Initiative
Partnership with USTA Eastern and the Yonkers Public Schools

The Coach Pat Project was established in 2018 by YTC President, Joseph Curto.
The Coach Pat Project was created to bring tennis to the Yonkers Public Schools in memory of the late Pat Rogers, a former school teacher and YTC staff member since the facility's inception back in 1971.
YTC has partnered with the USTA Eastern section who has generously helped support the program with equipment and resources.
2018-19 Inaugural Season
The Coach Pat Project brought tennis to the physical education classes within 4 Yonkers Public Schools: Martin Luther King Jr., Boyce Thompson, Museum 25, and Cross Hill Academy.
Each school participated in two (10) week programs throughout the school year impacting grades 1-8.
In the first year, the CPP impacted the lives of over 500 students per week.
2019 and Beyond
Our goal is to introduce tennis to more schools in the Yonkers School system along with
additional schools in Westchester County.
