The Development Squad is an invitation only program. Players are selected by the teaching professionals based on improvement, work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt to teaching suggestions. Players must also demonstrate an interest in playing tournaments and competing.
Squads aren't labeled, and the players are grouped based on which type of tournament they're playing. As long as a group is moving through the tournament levels together, a player will not move from one group to another (exceptions for players excelling or struggling in current level).
Squad members are required to work towards specific goals that are clearly set with the teaching staff (and written on our goal sheet for the player).
Aside from all of the play opportunities and the learning experience, a benefit of being in a squad is the extensive personal game review given by the pro's. We make use of video analysis to give the player a clear picture of what they need to be working on.
